Protect Your Heart: 3 Things You Must Stop Consuming Now

You don't need to first suffer heart diseases so that you can start avoiding food that destroys your heart, today it's the right time to start.

According to the World Health Organization, 32% of all world death in 2019 were due to cardio-vascular diseases( diseases related to the heart).

The numbers become more strange when you take a look at the percentage of people consuming food that lead to such diseases, WHO suggest over 90% of adults world wide are consuming more sodium than recommended.

Here are some staffs that are common causes of heart diseases you should stop consuming according to different surgery doctors.

1. Alcohol

When I say stop alcohol I mean stop drinking much, because for some few reasons alcohol is needed in the body. Also when I say less I mean at least one glass a day, if you can't control the amount you drink then I recommend you to quit.

Drinking much alcohol inhibits the secretion of ADH(Antidiuretic Hormone), a hormone responsible for regulating water balance in body.

When this hormone is inhibited, the kidneys will not reabsorb water as usual leading you to frequent urination hence dehydration.

dehydration state mean there is less water in your blood. When dehydrated, the blood volume decreases, causing the heart to pump harder and faster to maintain blood pressure and supply oxygen to vital organs.

Conditions like this will lead you to elevated heart rate (tachycardia).

2. Fast food

We all like fast food due to the taste, most of us eat by eyes. When you make a deep research on what most fast foods are made of you will find out a lot of them are worse for our heart.

Fast foods contain oils that are classified under saturated fats which are hard to be broken down. When these fats aren't broken down down they are stored in different body parts including the blood vessels.

These stored fats in blood vessels after some period of time they will solidify making a component known as plaque.

This will reduce the volume of a blood vessel leaving small way for the blood to pass, this will cause the heart to push harder to that blood can reach destination in desired time.

The heart pumping blood faster leads to hypertension and this condition might lead you to death when the vessels burst due to high pressure.

3. Smoking

Smoking is very harmful for your heart and the more worse it is very addictive, it's very hard to many people to quit smoking.

Smoking cause our body to release adrenaline which makes blood vessels to constrict making them smaller for the blood to pass freely. As seen from above when the blood ways are reduced it increases the blood pressure as the heart is pumping hard than usual to supply blood to needed parts.

Components in cigarette like tar and other toxins stick in blood vessels and solidify as time passes.

The harmful component in cigarette smoke, carbon monoxide (CO) combines with hemoglobin the component that supply oxygen instead of oxygen making the heart to continue pumping faster to deliver oxygen to all parts.

Research says people who smoke has 70% chance of dying younger than people who don't.

4. Conclusion

Stop smoking, fast food, and alcohol if you want to protect your heart from fatal diseases. Though this might sound a complicated decision to take, dealing with the effects from the consumptions might be more tougher. Take hard decisions starting from today and protect your future.
